When most people think of Summer, they think of bright colors so of course I couldn’t go along with summer without bringing out one of my Lilly Dresses. I absolutely love Lilly Pulitzer, their prints are always so thought out & detailed, they use high quality fabrics and I love their motto of #resort365. Every time I see anything Lilly Pulitzer I automatically want to drop everything and go on a tropical vacation. Their clothes scream palm trees & the beach exactly where I want to be right now.
For today’s outfit I am wearing this beautiful swing dress that is perfect for those super hot days in the summer. The fabric is very airy & light and with the spaghetti straps its almost like wearing a strapless dress. I also loved the v-line cut of the dress it gives that typical summer dress a little edgy spin.
I also just want to say how much I appreciate that the designer of this dress didn’t make the cuts for the armpit too low. This seems like a little concern but it makes so much easier when picking a bra to wear with this dress.
I also of course paired my Lilly dress with a classic jack roger sandal, they were the perfect neutral casual shoe & were super comfy to walk around in.
What has been your go to outfit for this summer ? I would love to know for inspiration in my own wardrobe.
My prom was last Friday and it took me a few days to fully recover from last weeks festivities that’s why this post is going up so late. I had such an amazing time at prom and made memories that will last a life time. Its so unreal that things are really winding down and in 2 weeks I will be graduating from high school.
My prom day started at around 7am when I had to get up early to head to school to pick up my prom ticket. Good thing I got down there quick because the line got so long. After that I went home to go back to sleep until around 12 and then at 1 hopped in the shower to start getting ready. I left my house at 6 to get in the car and go pick up all my friends so we could ride to prom together. Prom was from 8-12 and after that we all went to an after party and didn’t get home until 5:30am. I go out but never that late and its just not for me, I had fun but I hate feeling tired and unmotivated for days.
I absolutely loved my dress it’s an Adrianna Papell from Lord & Taylor. I loved the color and thought it was such a classy dress that wasn’t to cliche and can definitely be worn again.
I want to go back to my prom night it was seriously the best night ever. Seeing everyone dressed up was so cute and this is all I have been thinking about for the last few days. Did any of you have prom recently make sure to leave a comment below a link to your blog post so I can see photos !!
Yesterday was the warmest day yet in NYC this year. The high was 90 degrees so I decided it was a perfect day to go out and take outfit pictures. I wore this cute striped dress from the Gap to school and felt great all day. It’s so comfortable and definitely light weight enough to wear when it’s warm & humid. I took advantage of the warm weather and spent a lot of time outside. I am seriously so excited for summer and cheers to it almost being the weekend !!
I wore a bralette under this dress because the sides dropped down a little low. However I think it adds such a cute feminine touch to the outfit so it didn’t bother me at all.
It was actually my first time wearing these Jack Rogers and lets just say my feet hated me. I didn’t realize that you had to break them in so my feet were sore all day, sneakers for me tomorrow !
Thanks for reading and let me know if you all want me to do more fashion posts !

New York’s weather has been so weird lately, first of all it’s still in the 50s and it’s December. So my outfits for the past 2 months have been pretty fall appropriate, in today’s post I am showing you guys how to mix prints without having the pieces clash. Mixing prints in fashion can be a very scary experiment, but with these tips you can look like a fashion guru. First, when nixing prints it’s best to stick with neutral colors. Such as white, black, grey, brown and or navy.
Trust me it will make things a lot easier, because sometimes bright colors and mixing prints just clash. You also want to make sure the two printed pieces have some overlapping colors. As you guys can see, both my striped shirt and my plaid shirt have the colors black and white in it. This tip definitely makes sure that the outfit looks coordinated and put together. Those are just a few tips for anyone wanting to experiment with mixing prints but isn’t sure where to start.
